Martha's Ministry Bereavement Group
|
The death of a loved one, either a family member or a close friend, is often a traumatic experience. Regardless of the circumstances, one can never fully prepare for a death. The purpose of Martha's Ministry is to provide support for those who have lost someone special. This ministry provides those who have experienced a loss the opportunity to share their experiences, feelings and emotions in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental setting.
St. Mary's Parish will offer a Bereavement Support Group this fall culminating with the All Souls' Mass at St. Mary's Church on November 2. The dates for the meetings will be Mondays, September 15, 22, 29 and October 13, 20, and 27. Meetings will be held from 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the Rosary Room of the parish hall. If you have experienced the loss of a family member or friend, we invite you to join us no matter how long it has been since your loss. This is open to all churches in the Pontiac Vicariate. Registration is necessary so we have enough books for everyone. Please call the parish office or complete the form below to register. The registration deadline is Tuesday, September 2. For more information, please call the parish office at 815-844-7683 or complete the form below. |
